| After IITs, the other premier institutes offering B.Tech and other programmes in Engineering are NITs(National Institute of Technology). Every state has one NIT like N.I.T. Kurukshetra (Haryana), NI.T Jalandhar (Punjab), N.I.T. Tirichi (Kerala) etc. 50% of the seats are reserved for the respective states and 50% are open. In total about 10,000 seats are available on all India basis. The score of AIEEE is used by other institutes of repute like Thapar Institute of Technology Patiala, Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh etc. for their admission process. In all about 20,000 seats are filled though this examination. The total number of students giving this examination are about four lakhs. The exam is obj4ective type in nature and is held in last week of April every year. |
